Planet Terror was exactly as stupid as billed, and used its grindhouse tricks in a heavy-handed way.Death Proof was fantastic; great dialogue, perfect balance between knowingly bad and deliberately excellent.

Planet Terror is fun, but not clever.Deathproof is a brilliant pastiche of exploitation cinema with an interesting structure. If you are into films about film, you will like it. If you aren't, you probably won't.
