wasn't so much a rushed plot, but more of a 'we're gonna dump you right
into the middle of everything' which I felt kind of lent a sense of
reality to the whole thing. >>I was unconvinced near the end when Moses "apologizes" Been forever since I've actually seen it, can't remember the seen off the top of my head. >It wasn't scary, it wasn't clever, it wasn't an action movie... it tried to be all those things and failed I
don't think it was trying to be scary. How was it not an action movie?
There were plenty of action themes that worked very well in it. Not sure
what you mean by it trying to be clever. >Unlikable At first maybe, they did a good job of developing him >unintelligent Um, no, not really. They may not all have been the brightest bunch, but they weren't (all) idiots. >unsympathetic thugs as protagonists Well
yeah, they're thugs, but even then they all go through moments of
emotional insecurity. Plenty of sympathy in the movie. Also most of the
main cast are pot-heads. You expect them to the most likable, highly
intelligent, upright citizens? |
