Doctor Who started in 1963, then it got canned in about 1989, then there was a movie in 1996.

Doctor Who rebooted in 2005, with the 9th doctor, that is the start of NuWho, anyone who says different or tells you to skip everything or a majority of everything and just start at the 11th Doctor is retarded and just an 11 fan girl...start with 9, decide whether or not you like it, just keep in mind that 9, while being my personal favorite Doctor of the NuWho, has some pretty bad writing, the writing gets better as you get further into NuWho.
