You know, Hitman actually wasn't that bad. I enjoyed it, anyway.
Anyway,
as for my videogame movie, it would be a Dead Space adaptation with
Joshua Jackson playing Isaac. The film would open with some exposition
from a narrator, giving a brief history of what humanity has achieved by
the 26th century (like Dead Space 2).
I guess it would have to
borrow heavily from Aliens, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Pitch
Black too. I wouldn't want it to be a straight up action horror though. I
don't think I'd introduce the necromorphs as early as the game either.
First of all I would focus on the sheer creepiness of an abandoned
mining ship and then how the repair crew reacts to it, arguing over the
best course of action, all the while ramping up the tension levels until
it's unbearable.
Otherwise I would be fairly faithful to the
game as it's a pretty solid "escape from the monsters" sequence of
events. And of course THAT ending. Yeah you know the one. |
