Why does every American cartoon skimp on animation quality?

Even the most popular shows just use cheap garbage animataion. America leads the globe in 3D IMAX presentations. Why do they skimp when it comes to television presentation?

No market for high quality tv animated shows. Simple as that.

anime tends to not last season after season. they get 12-50 episodes to use the budget more efficiantly. if you look at shows like bleach or naruto which have no end in sight you'll notice how god awful the animation is.

actually a lot of anime in general is poorly animated. unless its an ova or a movie its full of QUALITY. blame the practice of outsourcing animation to korea and blame Macross for starting it.
