You're gonna think I'm a nut but I have a hard time with SouthLAnd. It's just too real. I live there and have worked with LAPD copers all the time. The show nails the look, the attitude and the pacing. It's just too fucking real. Ask them, tell them, make them.

I've met out of control LAPD guys in the past. The C. Thomas Howell guy isn't a bit too crazy. A few years ago a pair of gang officers got drunk and shot at a CHP officer writing a speeding ticket (They hate each other) causing him to dive into the brushes.

The scene where the FTO slammed on the brakes and made the suspect break his nose on the divider is a classic LAPD trick. Called "Waffling" the suspect because of the waffle marks laft by the cage.

Ooh, so edgy and real.
