    Movies that started out pretty great and then turned into a mess of dog shit.

    Picture oh so related, great acting from Bale as always and certain moments like when he wakes up from his dream, takes off the cover from his window and sees how beautiful the world can be. That entire moment was just godly.

    The rest was just shit.
    Without looking it up, this movie is probably a comic adaption right?

    Please. Are you kidding? The film was great because of its over-the-top gun-kata. The "beautiful" moments you cherish in the film are incredibly cheesy and hokey. Its theme has been done over and over and better and less heavy handed in other media.

    Equilibrium is one of my favorite movies because it's not afraid to be silly with a silly theme, while still managing to have some truly inspired scenes in it. The rainy window scene being probably the best example; the movie till that point was so full of bland monotones and despair that the rainbow through a rainy window really hits you.

    Puppy power aside, Equilibrium gets BETTER as you go into the film and turns into gun-fu.
