The guy is a decent director, but the plots to his movies are always lackluster and his characters are just shitty. Alice wasn't even a character in the fucking games. They could've crafted a better movie by following the story of the games a bit more, maybe have Milla play some other chick like Claire or Jill. Instead we've got this shit.

And don't worry, it'll take her all of 5 minutes to kill Albert Wesker or whatever superlackey he throws at her in the next movie, unless they draw it out like they did with Isaacs. Whatever man. It's mindless entertainment in the strictest interpretation, so take it however you want.

I like the Resident evil movies. They aren't based on the games? awww cry me a river dickface. Sorry but Paul anderson has the right idea. When he made the first movie he said:

I have to agree with him. Because I'm sure if he did. People would bitch because Chris didn't go down hallway B1 to get the armor key and back track to Hallway E3 to unlock the door to the hunting room. Or they'd bitch because he did. The man took bits from the series and built a franchise out of it. Are they works of art? No. Should they get awards? No. Are they fun stupid movies to watch? Yes, Yes they are. I don't know how people get so passionate about a game franchise being tainted on the big screen when the first game had fantastic dialog like "jill sandwich"

This is just my take on the movie series.

I played the games growing up, so I guess I'm just a bit jaded how the movies didn't stick to the games.

I did my best to enjoy RE, being in the hive, no powers, just some swat people (though I thought the zombie make up sucked, but it was explained since no one was really eaten, it was all airport, of course people will look fine but have blue eyes)

I just wanted to see the original RE made into a movie. the STARS inside an old mansion, solvin puzzles, shootin zombies, hell they could have stumbled on an old type writer for a bit of comic relief.

In the end I stopped watching these until they came on cable, they're really just plain bad.. even nemesis looked like shit..

The other two were fine as well, but with the third movie I just got what I expected and I was very pleased afterwards.

I enjoyed almost all the games and I knew they had to change shit it to make it work because this series is weak on plot and characterization

The entire second movie was set in raccoon city, had jill, carlos, nemesis, the lead scientist was an ashford, the little girl was infected by the G virus. Plus other stuff Im to lazy to type out. Apocalypse was the most faithful by far. But also the weakest. I don't know, it just never sat right with me. GTA MOTHAFUCKA

As for the third film, its been awhile but the "super zombies" were based on the villagers from 4. and the final fight was WITH FUCKING TYRANT.
