Is "Clue" the greatest who-done-it movie ever? By who-done-it I'm referring to a mystery where all of the suspects are already gathered in one place ... everyone is a suspect, no one can leave until morning, etc.

Can /tv/ think of any other movies like this?

The only other movie of this caliber and a whodunit is "Murder by Death", a 1970's mystery spoof.

my friends think it doesn't even exist. Must be pretty unknown. Have to buy a copy someday to give them the good old F U. Is it on Bluray?

Gosford Park is another whodunit. It's hard to think of many contemporary examples.

Agatha Christie, now famous from her Doctor Who episode, is the master of whodunit. They probably haven't turned one of her novels into a serious movie in 50 years though.

Most definitely. At least it was possible for the viewer to figure out who the killer was. Now we just sit around and wait for David Caruso to find a DNA match.

Clue isn't a proper whodunit. Clue is a massive, unapologetic parody of a genre of movies that have been dead for decades.

And the puns. Oh god the puns. You'll never see a movie with a higher density of quality puns.
    >You tell him it's not true.

    >Ha ha! So it is true! A double negative!
    >Double negative? You mean you have -photographs-?
    >That sounds like a confession to me; I'm afraid you just gave yourself away.

    >Well, come on, there's only one admitted killer in here and it's certainly not me; it's her!
    >I've admitted nothing!
    >Well, you paid the blackmail. How many husbands have you had?
