English teaches in TW get paid very well, usually ~2000$ which is good considering you can live luxurious for less than 1000$ a month..

Don't you need to know Taiwanese to teach in English in Taiwan? I want to teach English in Japan and I have several years worth of schooling in Japanese, but I'm not fluent enough to have a conversation with a Japanese citizen.
