Vegas is fun if you are passing through, but there is no way I am booking airfare, hotels, etc for slot machines I can play at Foxwoods. I mean the Grandcanyon is right next door and you are going to sit in a shithole with retirees playing mahjong or some shit like that.
    >> Anonymous 07/21/10(Wed)23:15 No.357763
If you are between 21 to 39 and spend your time on slot machines in Vegas, you have failed. Vegas is all about trying to get laid by the dumb cattle that congregate there. Hell, I've even seen people in their 40s, maybe 50s, score with 20 somethings over there.

Vegas does suck big dicks. Fucking hate that place. It used to be cheap - cheap hotels, cheap prime rib. Now it is an expensive, plastic tourist trap with nothing worth doing.

Hey, if you go there with your boys, booze it up and pretend to be high rollers and pick up girls you can have fun. If you're 21, hit it up, go to clubs, fuck some random chick in the bathroom.

    Otherwise, it sucks ass.

Whatever, it's still one of the tallest clock towers in the world and the attention to detail on the building is amazing. Best to see it all at night when it's lit up, along with many other landmarks along the Thames.

Worst was probably Jamaica. It was a spur of the moment thing I didn't put any thought into, my friend just found a deal and I was like fuck it, might as well go I'm just out of high school and have nothing else going on.

The resort was fun and the people working there were cool, but you can't really go anywhere outside unless you feel like being robbed. Would've been better if I spent 3-4 days there, not a whole week.

Though, I will say, don't plan on spending the night in Key West unless you are rich or don't mind sharing a non air-conditioned room with nine other dudes. I'm in London now. It's been sunny almost every day for almost a month... I guess I've just been lucky, well in fact I know I have, but I don't get why London has this stereotype of being that bad for weather. I can't imagine it's so much worse that Paris or Berlin.

I think these people talking about no nature, gangs and 'minorities' must have just been hanging out around Leicester Square and Oxford Street.

    1) Parks. London has a shit load of massive public parks. Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Victoria Park, Clapham Common... not to mention the massive forest that is Hampstead Heath or Richmond Park which is almost three times the size of Central Park and has free roaming deer inside.

    2) Gangs. You get them in all cities. I'm not racist, so have had no problem going to places like Edgware Road or Brick Lane. Sure there are guys that think they are gangsters, but they wouldn't last 5 minutes in Rio or New York.

Otherwise, I go to places like Marylebone, Hampstead, Bloomsbury, Farringdon and Clerkenwell, the City, Spitalfields, Greenwich... all these areas are very nice to visit and have nice people.

If you use public transport there are some not so nice people, but that's the same with every city. I think London is very safe and you should stop worrying and being scared of other ethnicities.

so you post a video of moss side in Manchester, one of the worst areas in the UK. Every country has 'ghettos', but these guys mostly just stay in their little bubble of 'safety' and the rest of the country doesn't give a shit.

Whenever people go on about knife crime in London in makes me rage. As far as tourists are concerned, it happens on housing estates which you would never need to visit or go anywhere near. Crime in central London is actually pretty low, you only really have to watch out for drunk people late at night, otherwise you're pretty safe if you don't do anything stupid.

Young japanese are obsessed with american culture. When krispy kreme opened, people queued for hours to get one, only to then wrap it up and put it in their bag because eating in the street is bad manners.

Older Japanese don't give a sit about America. That's why you must go to Japan within the next decade before the youth start to replace the older generation in positions of power. It all depends on whether these american obsessed young people grow up and fall into the traditions of the older generations or continue their desire to break from tradition.

The Red Light District in Amsterdam was such a tourist trap that I was immensely disappointed. It was like the same crappy souvenir shop, pot store and bar copy and pasted over a few blocks.

Not to say I hated everything though. There were some neat things though like the vodka museum and Amsterdam is otherwise a great city. But god damn tourist trap if you don't look around a bit.

    texas:

    - freedom, lol at your nanny state
    - sunny hot weather 90% of the year, i can wear shorts and t-shirt pretty much all year round
    - clean
    - not crowded at all, something like 80% of the state is uninhabited desert
    - nice cheap real estate, all big detached houses for less than $200,000 (pic related)
    - cheap gas
    - cheap food, massive portions for little money
    - safer than london
    - i can walk around the suburbs i live in without seeing hoards of people in turbans and ghetto blacks, they are all in the city.
    - my state alone is like twice the size of the entire uk.
    - great sense of community

    england(london):
    - blacks, blacks everywhere
    - everyone speaks in some sort of retarded ghetto slang, when i went there everyone was like "alryite fahckin mayte, owyadoin mayte fancy brla reh hurr?"
    - your country has shit weather, rainy and cold most of the year with a couple of sticky humid days in the summer .... great.
    - no freedom nanny state. i enjoy shooting at the range, but i would need to jump through a million hoops to own a gun in the uk, and i still wouldnt be able to buy anything cool. it seems like its an expensive niche sport that only manics, crazies and upper class hunters enjoy over there.
    - everything is expensive as hell.
    - london is dirty, loud and crowded. in texas, becuase everyone drives, even if you go into the middle of the city, the sidewalks are all empty, no litter, hardly any people, its clean as hell.
    - knife crime, gangs (yeah i know we have that in texas cities as well, but we have laws which enable me to use deadly force to defend myself if a criminal ever attacks me, and i won't even need to go to court. in the uk if someone tries to stab you and you hit them over the head with a brick or stab or shoot them in defense, you go to jail.)

    america > uk
    texas > london

you forget that everyone in London could easily move somewhere like Texas for a cheaper life, but choose to pay more to live in London to live a more fulfilling life (in their opinion).

Same goes for any major city. People choose to live there because it offers them something that the suburbs or middle of nowhere can't.

    you are such a retard

Texas is cheap because there is shitloads of land and not many people want to live there. A home comes up for sale and there aren't peope queuing up to buy it.

Lots of people want to live in the UK, even more so in London. Property prices are higher because of demand. New York propery prices are higher because of demand.

I'm happy that you enjoy living in the suburbs. But can you...
    1) go to world class restaurants and eat pretty much any cuisine from around the world any night of the week?
    2) go to a wide range of theatres any night of the week?
    3) choose from hundreds of bars, cinemas, cafes?
    4) find a shop for pretty much anything?
    5) get on a train and be in other country in a matter of hours?
    6) fly to a wide range of different countries for under $200 return?
    7) meet tourists from all over the world who come to visit your neighbourhood?

    I could go on...

While your point is true, 5 and 6 just show how fucking retarded you are lol. Learn some geography! Texas is a fucking border state, it takes a few hours at MOST to be in Mexico. And you can easily fly to many central and Caribbean countries for a few hundred dollars round trip. Though you are totally right about there being nothing good in texas. The texasfag is still mentally incompetent.

Oh this is not the texasfag. No one wants to live in mexican over run texas. Use logic next time dumbass!

umm, i don't think you realize what suburbs are. "sub-urban" sprawls usually surround big cities. you can enjoy a high standard of living in the suburbs and its only a short commute to the city where you can enjoy all the stuff you listed. thats what suburbs are. you have the best of both.

    learn2suburbs.

also, all that shit you listed isnt exclusive to london, you can do that in any big city. only difference is, that if you do it in london, you have to do it in the rain and it costs 10 times as much.

The irony of that picture is that it's fucking South San Jose. Enjoy driving 45 minutes to downtown San Jose where there's what. Pawn shops, a couple of movie theaters, and a whole lot of dull bars occupied by a handful of bored SJSU students.

2 hours to drive to San Francisco and maybe find parking? Shit, that's almost as long as it takes to get from London to Paris. Of course, in London it might rain, and in Paris someone might fail to smile at you. Pic related.
