Look,
if you're not looking to spend a whole hell of a lot of money, see the
sights. You're staying in a strip hotel. You can easily walk the strip
and take lots of good pictures. There's fountains, a volcano, and a
fucking pirate ship.
If you're a bad enough dude, I'd say check
out the Fremont Street Experience. Lots of live music and street-fair
type things. Just be aware of your pockets, since downtown isn't the
best neighborhood.
We have 2 outdoor malls, one of them being
Town Square, which has a fairly large park area and things to do
(Lollicup = awesome) and also on Mondays or Tuesdays (I forget which)
Bar Louie over there has $1 hamburgers. Also a pretty good chance to
run into Penn Jillette as he hangs around there a lot.
Decent restaurants around town: (Even halfway) Toudai Japanese Buffet (Pricey) M Buffet (REALLY pricey, like $27 a person) Rio Buffet (Kind of pricey but worth it) Osaka Japanese Bistro (Expensive, but still good) Canes Chicken (FUCK. YES. Chicken fastfoodish joint but it is AWESOME. Their tea is good too. Not expensive!) Pho Saigon (good Vietnamese chain) Pho Kim Long (Hilarious name, more Viet food) Shuseki (Pretty decent, kind of cheap Japanese place) Hofbrauhaus (German food place. Sausage and beer.)
I can't think of more off the top of my head but I've been to those ones. Good luck, OP. |
