But I know that you can take trips to the border from South Korea, see where the US/S Korean military's and North Korean military are guarding the boarder, they just stand facing each other, a white line separates them. there is buildings that connect the 2 countries where negotiations take place to try achieve peace or some sort of agreement, but these never EVER lead to anything, you can get a guided military tour of here.
You can also take a trip about a mile or two inside the border with military escort, where you can get out and see a large town in the distance (with no inhabitants, built for propaganda)
I saw all this on Michael Palin's tv show on the Travel channel, could be different now seeing as it was made in the early 90's I think.

Other than that small day trip you probably will not be able to go anywhere else, they only let a handful of people in a year and its usually for political reason's or such, and if you do manage to get in (which you wont unless you hold some importance) you will have to be guided by a tour guide who will take you everywhere and show you propaganda etc and tell you bullshit.
You are constantly watched here and once false move and you will be fucked over and possibly have your guide and people around you fucked over.

You can take tours (as small as 1-person tours) into the place and take as many photos as you want. The catch is you'll have multiple government guides/minders with you at all times, so you'll only be able to photograph what the government is so eager to project itself as to the outside world.

I'm so eager to go here too and to soak up the propaganda. There's nothing else like it, and probably never has been, or ever will be. People are taught to believe that Kim Il-sung single handedly defeated the Japanese forces in WWII! They have the only captured American Naval vessel in the world (proudly on display), and it's the world's only ever communist ruling dynasty.

The place is batshit insane, but incredibly interesting too. I just wish it wasn't at the detriment of the majority of it's people.
