  • Kimmo Alm aka "Sysop" from AnT has been spamming us for YEARS now, and has recently stepped it up. This shit has got to fucking stop.
As promised, here are all of the e-mails he has sent me over the years (and my responses).

One of Kimmo's ex-moderators posted hundreds of PMs. They are absolutely hilarious/terrifying.

Has anyone ever had their luggage lost or delayed?

I went to the tropics for two weeks, my luggage didnt arrive untill the last day, as I was leaving. I was on a remote island and couldnt buy any replacement clothes or toiletries, I just had to do without.

The airline is only going to give me a $500 travel vouchers as compensation, this seems a little weak.

Anyone have any experience in this situation?

Is that Jennifer Fazakerly? I'm going to assume it is because I fucking hate your smug, holier-than-thou face. Retarded vegetarian that thinks not eating meat makes up for her complete lack of intellect, personality and pretty much anything that would constitue a human being. Fuck off and die, skank

$500 from the airline? Consider yourself lucky.

I had a bag disappear on a flight from Auckland to Hong Kong once (Cathay Pacific). 3 days later I was flying onto London. It was 37C when I arrived, in jeans, and they gave me about $100. My bag didn't arrive before flying on, nor did it arrive anywhere while I was traveling around Europe for 10 weeks. Thankfully I had travel insurance, so I could buy new shit in London, including a tripod I needed.

9 months later I got a call from Air New Zealand. My bag had been in Suva the whole time, but it was missing a bunch of shit from inside, and had 3 pairs of brand new jeans in it.

Be thankful you got it back before you left and it had everything in it. Also be thankful you got $500 from the airline.

The lesson here seems to be: don't check your fucking bags like a grandmother taking her entire fucking wardrobe down to Florida.

If you have more than the carry on allowance, you're a shit traveler.

If you're bringing something you have to check, then only check that and items you don't mind losing.

i was heading to remote island where toiletries would not be available for purchase. liquids and gels cannot be taken on airplanes as carry on, so i had to check luggage.

i do prefer to not check luggage if possible.

    no, you're a shit traveller.

If you travel any reasonable amount, get a good annual travel insurance policy that pays out big time for lost luggage and inconveniences.

For package holiday tourists, it's overkill. But if you travel a decent amount in your life, there's a very good chance that all your years of paying for travel insurance will be worth it at some point.

    My bag got delayed.

I was like 'hey man where's my bag' and they were like 'oh it looks like it didn't get loaded on the plane'

So I was like 'uhh wat do'

and he was like 'we'll send it to you by fedex tomorow'

and then I got my bad tomorow

my luggage was "lost" at Lisbon airport. I had overstayed and was reentering and they took me to be interrogated. I asked about my luggage and they said dont worry. After they decided they were just going to let me in they couldnt find my luggage. I waited for an hour or so and it finally appeared. I think they were fucking with me.
