I've had the privilege of chatting with and meeting a lot of great people from 4chan over the past 8.5 years, and lost touch with many.
If we used to chat/hang, drop me a line at moot@4chan.org or on AIM at MOOTCHAT. And if we haven't, feel free to say hi.

Introducing /wsg/ - Worksafe GIF

Update: /rs/ - Rapidshares is fixed—sorry for the downtime there. Also I think we've fixed most issues with boards.4chan.org and sys.4chan.org. Keep your fingers crossed!

Considering our multitude of guests from /v/, I figured it was time for an easy image to share for this sort of thing.

Anything that needs fixing?
>>
Seems to cover all the basics.
Thanks bud.
>>
>>2936089
No problem.

I was thinking another for ordering exclusives (since even /toy/soldiers find themselves asking this frequently) and maybe another listing backup stores.
>>
looks great.

maybe one for mandarake would be great

Wait, dammit, I did forget something.

Did not mention tracking and insurance on EMS. Fixed.
>>
Fantastic.

>>2936098
Yeah, we need something mentioning Mandarake, too. Mandarake's great.
>>
Needs a mention that AmiAmi will ban you for canceling pre-orders for no reason
>>
>>2936078

/v/ here.

Thanks dood.
>>
>>2936104
They have a black mark system. They won't outright ban you, even if your reason is unsatisfactory.

I'm not hard defending them, they are cunts about it.
>>
>>2936107
I think it's a good policy, keeps the filth away.

Slight exaggeration, but noted.
>>
>>2936109
RSAL needs you to sign for pickup, I would assume Small Packet does too, but I haven't used it yet so I can't confirm.
>>
>>2936112
I've had tracked air mail from CS Toys not need to be signed for, but you're absolutely right on RSAL.
>>
>>2936078
Man, sure is a lot of Opinion and Incorrect Info in that infographic. Not that anyone will care or bother to read it before posting "DURRR ME FROM /V/ HOW DO I JAPAN"
>>
>>2936119
>Opinion
>Incorrect information
I see literally nothing incorrect there.
>>
>>2936121
IT'S WRONG BECAUSE ONLY MY OPINION IS RIGHT

Suggestions for stores on the backup store list.

Including Mandarake on it. Was considering Otacute and CS Toys.

I always like to include Angolz too, but I seem to be literally the only person who likes them, so I won't.
>>
>>2936121
Nice try, but I'm not going to point out all the misinformation in that sheet if none of you are smart enough to do your homework before pretending to be an authority.
Better to have a bunch of ill-informed dipshits trusting the word of a tripfag as gospel and fucking things up so they learn the hard way.
>>
>>2936119
I don't think you know what opinion means. As far as the details, feel free to contribute corrections if anything is genuinely inaccurate. There will always be exceptions of course, bit as a general guide it holds true.
>>
>>2936126
Let me translate that for everyone, I also speak a bit of faggot:
>I don't actually see anything wrong so I'm going to pretend like I do and refuse to elaborate.
>>
>>2936125
I'd go Jungle Entertainment Hobby Shop because they've treated me very well and they're basically a second Mandarake that sometimes has way better prices in my opinion, at least on SAS figures. I've seen people praise them for their Figuarts prices, but don't have actual experience.

Everything seems accurate to me but I'd definitely add some other sites as alternatives (like Mandarake) because I'm sure after the figures come out we'll get stuff like "oh no all those sites don't have it what do I do."

Thanks for doing this Suri, I'm the anon from >>2935896
but I'm way too lazy to put together this kind of thing.

>>2936138
Also thanks.
>>2936134
Considered that, but the last few times I saw that site mentioned, everyone seemed to throw a bit of a fit that a "secret was being exposed" or something.

Also. Doing the Exclusives sheet next. Aside from Yokatta and RiderProxy, who do we have?
Also, does anybody know of others and has anyone used Crescent Shop since it became http://noppin.com/ ?

Site: http://yokattaweb.jp/
+ Pros:
+ Flat 700 yen fee per item
+ Lists popular exclusives available on their site
+ Can also be used for Yahoo Japan Auctions (at additional cost)
+ Discounts offered on certain items orderd together
+ Items held up to 4 months at no extra charge
- Cons:
- Must pay item cost (not shipping) upfront.
-

Anyone have anything to add for cons?
>>
>>2936148
Might want to put the GSC online shop there

http://goodsmile-global.ecq.sc/
>>
Might want to add what to watch out for; for example Toys 'n Joys having a terrible online reputation, and if it's cheap on ebay (and in Hong Kong) it's probably a bootleg.
Also explain more about mandarake, since it's not like the others in terms of it being second-hand, as well as the 500yen fee for orders under 5000 (I think).
>>
Mandarake, CS Toys and Otacute should be added.
>>
Also Amazon is pretty legit, especially with the Tamashii Nations shop. That and the obvious non-foreign-shipping bullshit.
>>
.>>2936157
Writing up Mandarake in Part 2, including complicated bits.

>>2936158
CS Toys was going on the Backup list, since it's almost entirely Tokusatsu items and they don't have any normal sale discounts. I love the hell out of them, but it's almost

>>2936157
Considered that. I might just do a buying western stuff version too.

maybe one for BBTS, if someone need it, for international buyers
>>
SAL should have a warning that it can in more-frequently-than-rare circumstances take months to arrive to its destination. I have had SAL take literally 2.5 months to arrive to me on the east coast from japan.
>>
>>2936185
>more-frequently-than-rare
I wouldn't say that. I've been using SAL for like four years now, and the longest it's ever taken is one month. It almost always takes 2 weeks for me.
>>
>>2936190
Oh, and I'd like to mention that during said four year span, I've moved all over the US, and my shipping times stayed fairly constant. Sooo...yeah. I'm willing to accept that sometimes shipping could take crazily long (that is the nature of SAL after all, space-available basis), but I think I can safely say your situation is pretty rare.
>>
>>2936193
ive had it happen too.
id say "more frequently than rare" is an accurate assessment
>>
If this hasn't already been fixed: RSAL is available on HLJ and HS too, you just need to request it in the message box when you make an order.

I'll also vouch that SAL doesn't get lost 'frequently.' I'm in the US and I've never lost a SAL package in my years of buying.

Okay. Part 2.

Addendums and corrections welcome, will go back and mess with the shipping guide from the first one a bit.
>>
>>2936214
CS Toys has Otacute's URL
>>
>>2936214

You got Otacute's address for CS Toys' website address.
>>
>>2936193
I've moved all over the USA too, but I stopped using SAL after another package took 2 months to the date (arrived on the last day of the month, both times were on the east coast) and I think the warning is appropriate, especially if you are going to move anytime soon.
