You'll find them both easily. You just might have to be patient and not freak the fuck out because you can't get them immediately. Don't be an idiot and pay over retail just so you can have it right this very second, it's this mindset that gives scalpers easy business. People think they won't be able to find [X] at retail because it's not fucking everywhere right away when they want it, so they panic and overpay online, only to see the toy show up a little later. Don't be like those retards who payed $50+ for Generations Warpath and Wheeljack because they absolutely needed to have it right away.

Remember how readily available the first three waves of DOTM were? Same shit is going to happen here. Vehicon will get repakced again, and Soundwave is in both waves 1 and 2. You're not going to have any trouble finding Soundwave once the line is in full swing, and the Vehicon will show up a little later in adequate numbers. Also keep in mind that there will be revision waves between the main waves, so Vehicon and Soundwave will probably be packed in those, too.

You need to be worried about the figures in the second half of the line, not the first. The last couple waves are the ones that you might not be able to find everywhere. The first half of this toy line will be piss-easy to find, and people will be complaining about how many wave 1 and 2 Prime figures are clogging pegs in due time.

Maybe they'll go by Wyatt rules and restrict flying and military autobots. So far the only military based bots on the show is Starscream, Airachnid, Soundwave, and jet Vehicons. I think it would be harder to have a good cover as a land based armed military vehicle. The bots on the show also have very tiny faction symbols as is.

I was quite surprised to find an FE Bumblebee at my local TRU. I though that FE line was canceled. Not a bad figure and not a bad look for BB but frankly I'm just not feeling Prime. Not really a bad show just not catching me like I hoped it would. I'm not to sure I'll grab any of the other figures in the line.

to me it seem kind of the opposite. Where Animated was quite obviously aimed at kids it seemed to be written by people who had quite a bit of love for Transformers in general. Thus there was quite a bit in there that older fans could get into. It was funny but it never tried to be anything more then what it was intended to be. Which ,imho, is why some of the more dramatic moments worked so well. The Bots where also quite a bit more fleshed out then in any other series.
On the other hand it looks like Prime is trying to be what the movies wanted to be in the first place, high action, low thought for kids.
Now this isn't bad and again I state that Prime isn't a bad show, I just don't think I can get into it. Just means my wallet can take a bit of a break until Bruticus streets and we get to see what else ( if anything) the generations line has beyond FOC.

Prime is the first tf cartoon to catch my attention in ages. I have enjoyed it so far despite the fucking kids and a lot of less than intelligent decisions on the characters' parts.

Only tf show to have ever gotten me to warm up to bumblebee. I hated that fuck everywhere else, even when they called him cheetor. I refuse to buy any of his pegwarmers though.

We got the first three deluxes in the US because that's all TRU wanted to stock. FE didn't get a big retail release because the retail stores didn't want to stock them. They had a bunch of Generations and DOTM toys left, and knew they would be getting the RID line a few months later and features the exact same characters.

TRU got to CHOOSE what FE toys they wanted in each territory. Hasbro released two official statements citing lack of retail interest as the reason we did not get many FE toys and that they were aware people still want them and might consider releasing them again. I bet they'll show up again as store exclusives.

I didn't like Transformers: Prime, and now I found out, a little too late, that the Prime toy line canceled the sixth DOTM line I really hate it now.

DOTM Ratchet, for example, only shipped one to a case of eight in the first wave of DOTM (and was later repacked twice in revision waves for waves 3 and 4) but you still see him around, right? Soundwave will likely either get repacked at least once more or get a repaint in a later wave.

It's the last waves you need to be worried about. The last two main Transformers lines (DOTM and the 2010 yellow-card HFTD/RTS line) had their last couple waves canceled because stores simply didn't order any due to having too much older stock.

You will have absolutely no problem finding Soundwave, you just might have to be patient and wait a month or so for the collector/scalper 'OMG NEED IT NOW-NOW-NOW' hype to die down. Everyone is clamoring to get him right now, but they'll be complaining about how there's no new figures in a couple months because they went out of their way to get them all early, like always.

You'll be back to bitching about how all you see are the same figures on the pegs in no time because you just HAD to get them all right away before the line was even out everywhere.

Why do so many people have no ability to remember anything? Here's an example: when the first Bayformers film came out, there was a figure that because very hard to get. People were convinced that that figure wouldn't get another release, so they paid insane markups to scalpers. That figure?

Bumblebee. Yes, he was hard to get at the beginning because this was before the "Bumblebee is so popular, we must make at least half of every wave Bumblebee" mentality began. But you know what? He appeared in future waves. He was available with Voyager Prime in a pack that, by the end of the line, could be picked up for the cost of a Deluxe.

You do not need to worry about finding toys at the beginning of a line. They will be used to bulk out further waves. Worry about the toys at the end of the line. They're the ones that end up getting passed on by retailers in favour of whatever the new line is.
