The smiling face looks terrible. Why did they change it? It wasn't great before but now it just looks really bad. Everything else about the figure is looking better though. The paint job is better, the panel lining is not so dark (which is game accurate), the chest seems to fit tighter now and the little nub stand attachment is interesting for those who might not want to use the entire stand for whatever reason.

Also the fist has a spring mechanism which I HOPE is a two stage mechanism so it can be loaded without weakening the spring. I still think figma Aegis has it SLIGHTLY beat but it's no longer such a huge margin now.

Hmm, I find the faces to be much better than those that come with the Figma. They actually resemble the game art, while the Figma aegis just seems to have a generic anime face.
Beyond that, their sculpts are quite similar, though the Chogokin seems to have more detailed joints. It also beats the Figma out on accesories.
I love the Figma on it's own, but It just seems like the Chogokin one ups it in almost every way.
But who knows, maybe it will end up a fiddly fragile thing when people get it in their hands.

I have to question how much of it is diecast if a stand like that can keep it elevated on it's own.

I own the Figma as well, but i'm not afraid to admit that the promo shots make this thing look much prettier than what I have.
Unfortunately, I think overwhelming buyer's remorse from other Figma owners is gonna give this thing a bad rap.

I own the figma. I preordered the second figma on Yokata. I own the nendoroid plush and I have that sweet statue preordered. Also, this.

This looks like it might be my favorite of the posable Aigises, though I'll need to see her in person. Rocket Punch launcher kinda seals it for me.

I agree with this. While some of the faces look bad, the primary facial expressions fit the character MUCH more. Not to mention the fact that the overall production is about 10x better than a figma (even with the pricepoints).

Both figures have their pros and cons. I had a whole list breaking down the game accuracy of both figures. The Chogokin managed to fix a few but it's still missing things like the black dots on the headphones, the rivet/screw details on the gold parts, the ribbon is still a bit small, the armband isn't as dynamic and the little things on the stomach are supposed to be silver with little half loops hanging off them, not black.

Still, this is all nitpicking. Bandai did fix the areas that needed it most which were the upper torso feeling out of proportion and the panel lining being way too thick/messy. I went from wanting to cancel it to wanting to buy two of it.

Headband, shoulders and thighs is probably all that is diecast judging by the paint. Take a close look at the stand, it's pretty beefy.

The faces are...awful. Not that figma Aegis had great-looking faces either but OP pic is almost lol-worthy.

Her metal appendages are my favorite parts, but I don't like the metallic gold as much as I thought I would.

The proportions still look off. And now her upper body appears longer than it should be.

I wasn't too enthused about it in the first place but now I can be happy about passing this up completely.

The spring rocket launcher is cool though.

Well ageis figma is an older sculpt that they did just to do since they only did her and months/year later they did her sister.

I already own it, but the chogokin does look nicer, but I think thats because bandai cared more to make a good aegis not just to throw out a other figma.

I have the figma aigis, and I'm liking the chogokin, but it just seems she's a little too bulky.
The extra weapons are awesome. and the air sculpt is great, the face strikes me as a little off.

All in all, I'd say either of them are a good buy, but I'll just stick with my figma, maybe I can make my own extra weapons to go with her...

The faces seem really off from certain angles. Her eyes look like they're facing different directions or something. I just paid for mine with some other stuff, hopefully it looks better in person and from different angles than the pictures I've seen.

sculpt is hands down sharper.
proportions are the issue in here.
I'd pick Figma personally (if it were still available, for retail price and in a cheaperr month).

Tho there's still Dimension Diver and their lovely sex appealing proportions (I know I love this appealing shit)
