  • Over the past 48 hours 4chan's formspring page has gotten over 12,000 questions, and I've received over 3,000 e-mails. Many thanks to everyone who submitted a question, and sent me a message! I was able to respond to a few hundred e-mails and had hoped to start answering questions on formspring, but it seems that the number of questions broke the page. Once that's sorted out, I'll sift through them and answer as time allows. Thanks again for all of the support!

In other news, /rs/ now processes MediaFire/MegaUpload/a bunch of other links correctly (this had been broken for months). The old links should be updated in 24-48 hours. Thanks to Popcorn Mariachi for spontaneously appearing and fixing this.

    Hey /lit/
I don't like offtopic threads too much but I was wondering if you've ever made any friends on here (e-mail correspondence, meeting in person)... Just curious.

    Good day, /lit/.

I'm an avid reader of Japanese history. Could you recommend me some good books (preferably with images included, but if not, anything is fine too) of which you are certain that the pdf can be found online.

I'm asking this because there are very few books about Japan where I live, or in my country for that matter. Thank you in advance.

funny enough, although I lurk on 4chan for quite some time, I never really got why someone would do such a thing... I mean, c'mon, Japan is totally 90s

    >> Anonymous 02/28/10(Sun)11:11 No.356609
What I don't understand is why you would begin studying Japanese history without studying your own country history first. (And not just the shit you had to memorize for school)

Unless you're American, and have no history or culture - then by all means, study another country.

if natural law isn't nomos, but physis and yet in the realm of metaphysics and physics is the science of natural laws, physics is metaphysics.

You are conflating concepts, and even if the metaphysical contained the physical in some way, this in no way means that the two are the same.

Put a box in a box, and you still have more than one box.

    It might go two ways:

The men authors are seen as sexist, since the male characters are dominant and the female characters are docile. They'd get a lot of flack for that. Maybe less publicity and sales.

The other way is that they might sell even more because of society's views on male success. Old Masters are what they have called great painters before.

I'm just not sure if the female rights movement is stronger than historical and traditional knowledge.
