Normally host the superbowl party and put out tons of food but this year the movie theater I work at took my suggestion of putting the game on the movie screen so now my bosses are putting out the spread of food and I'm bringing some chilli and tortilla chips. The offensive squad tries to capture territory from the defensive squad, eventually scoring in the end zone (getting a touchdown, seven points). They do this by having four attempts (downs) at moving the football at least ten yards to get a new set of attempts. They can do this either by throwing or running. I'm worried if the cable box they are using is non hd (since my bosses are cheap) and that the image would look stretched or something about it would be off. Yeah it is. It comes down to the projector quality, but since it's a movie threater the projection should be perfect.

The further from the screen you are, the less you notice degradation in quality.

The conversion rate for a 2 pointer is something close to 50%. Even though if you have a strong offensive team, mathematically it would make sense to go for 2 more often it isn't done in the NFL because coaches believe in momentum and "tradition" over math.

If you convert at 51% from 3 yards out, you are gaining 1.02 points per attempt. If you convert at 100% on the extra point you gain 1 point per attempt. Thus you gain more points by going for 2 in all neutral situations.

When I was working pizza I used to specifically ask for Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July and the Super Bowl. The bosses all thought I was a hard worker and got promoted into corporate HQ.

Tips were always better on those days and getting double time was nice also. You wouldn't believe how much people tip on Thanksgiving when they just blew up their kitchen and burned the turkey. I got 4 $20 tips (or higher) in 1 night.

I've been to the US on Super Bowl Sunday. I can tell you now, it's a pretty big bowl. Ornate as fuck too. Some of them are sectioned, but they throw all manner of shit in there. It's a pretty cool tradition.
