College football is for redneck flyover states.

I can understand why college football is a big deal in America (most history, players have to go to a university, lots of people go to university, it's popular) but a few of you have brought up that it has the best rivalries? How is that one possible? No player will be there longer than 4 or 5 years, surely, and no great player any more than 3...how do rivalries develop without the players to carry them over to and act them out on the pitch?
