If just 30% of the people who are bitching about the vuvuzela would have taken the effort to send a few emails to their TV stations and FIFA we'd have solved this problem by now.

BBC recieved just 250(!) emails about the noise so far. And ESPN said the "negative reaction wasn't overwhelming".

That's why these fuckers are coming out with their statements that "everybody loves the vuvuzela" and that it's an "essential part" of SA football.

All it takes is a couple of emails, but i guess pissing and moaning is easier.
    Enjoy your BBBBBBBBBBBzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

FIFA certainly is making money from the sales. That's the problem.
Our only allies now are the broadcasting corporations, because they are the ones running after their money, not FIFA.

Emails should be sent to the TV stations which broadcast the matches and their corporate HQ.

They can pressure FIFA more than anonymous petitions or direct emails can. They paid like 2.5 billion usd for the rights to broadcast, FIFA basically lives off of them.
    >> Anonymous 06/14/10(Mon)19:32 No.5432961
    >>5432840

99.99% of the fans watch the matches on TV, and the TV stations want to sell the commercials to the huge target audiences to cover the cost of purchasing the rights. The fewer people are watching them the less money they can make, also, if people watch the matches on mute, they won't be unmuting their sets for the commercials. This is also a problem for the advertisers.

Anything that endangers their profit is a fair target for them.

<3 how this isn't the case in Australia, anyway.

Only commercial break we have during each match is at half-time.
    >> Anonymous 06/14/10(Mon)19:38 No.5433056
    >>5432992

I'm saying that it's enough to write one email, and (with minor modifications, if necessary) you can send it to these:

    -FIFA
-TV companies that are broadcasting the matches in your country
-If you have an affiliate system like in the USA then to the main corporate HQ too
    >> Anonymous 06/14/10(Mon)19:39 No.5433066
    >>5433035

That's what i was saying, actually. Do you unmute your set for the half-time commercials?

Anyone who cares about the World Cup should do their part to bring about the ban of vuvuzelas (plastic horns that make the obnoxious buzzing sound), so if you want to do your part to make the World Cup a better viewing experience for all, submit formal complaints on the following sites:

    http://www.fifa.com/contact/form.html
    https://r.espn.go.com/members/contact/index
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/forms/
    http://abc.go.com/site/contact-us

spread this around to any other social outlets and add any more sites, thanks for doing your part.

These. While joining the facebook group and bitching about it on the internet is a natural reaction, it is almost irrelevant to the decisionmakers.

Write emails saying you'll have to skip (most of )the matches because the buzzing is unbearable. etc

It's not just about "chants", it's the crowd gasping for air in a dangerous situation, the exposion of sound when there is something happening, the Africans playing their PROPER instruments, etc.

Clearly, tinnitus is better than this.
