/sp/, define bandwagoning. Because it seems like people are blaming each other for being bandwagoners all the time but i don't think anyone actually knows what a bandwagoner is.

apparently, being a Yankees fan, regardless of who you are or where you live
    >> Anonymous 05/06/10(Thu)17:03 No.4568143
Cheering for a team when they're succesful and not supporting them when they suck.

    >> Anonymous 05/06/10(Thu)17:03 No.4568150
Bandwagoning is being a fan of any team that is currently winning, no matter how long you have been a fan of that team,

It's a word butthurt fans use to describe fans of teams more successful than theirs

    BANDWAGON YANKEEFAG
    >> Anonymous 05/06/10(Thu)17:03 No.4568158
Supporting a team that i don't like makes you a bandwagoner.
    >> Anonymous 05/06/10(Thu)17:04 No.4568161
OP, you must be new here.

It is a great insult to randomly assign "bandwagon" to fans, especially non-bandwagon fans.

Can you imagine the rage of being a Yankee fan your whole life, going to games left and right. Then after it all, being called a "bandwagon" fan? Shit is annoying.

On top of the fact that when you do encounter actual bandwagon fans, you get twice as mad because they are fuckin it up for you.
    >> Anonymous 05/06/10(Thu)17:04 No.4568162
being a fan of a popular team or a team that someone disproves of

see, im a penguins/yankees/lakers/patriots fan and people on here give me shit all the time but they are just mad
    >> Anonymous 05/06/10(Thu)17:04 No.4568168
if u root for a team with a winning record, youre bandwagoning

Pretty much these. As long as you like a shitty team, and stop liking them as soon as they start winning, you won't be a bandwagoner on this board.
    >> Anonymous 05/06/10(Thu)17:05 No.4568189
Being a fan of any sports team for any period of time is bandwagoning.
    >> Brittfar !6JMauEr7K2 05/06/10(Thu)17:06 No.4568204
Rooting for a team that is not the closest to your place of residence growing up
    >> Hull and Oates !!RxZsIUKbtRC 05/06/10(Thu)17:06 No.4568213
    1. Supporting and being a fan of team when they are good, but not when they are bad.

    2. Supporting and being a fan of a team that is good even though you have no geographic or any other reasonable connection to the team. (ie, GO YANKEES!)
    >> BJK !YpvD0NdH8g 05/06/10(Thu)17:07 No.4568236
Being a Lakers fan automatically makes you a bandwagoner.
