It is a great insult to randomly assign "bandwagon" to fans, especially non-bandwagon fans.

Can you imagine the rage of being a Yankee fan your whole life, going to games left and right. Then after it all, being called a "bandwagon" fan? Shit is annoying.

On top of the fact that when you do encounter actual bandwagon fans, you get twice as mad because they are fuckin it up for you.

Being a fan of any sports team for any period of time is bandwagoning.

Rooting for a team that is not the closest to your place of residence growing up

1. Supporting and being a fan of team when they are good, but not when they are bad.

2. Supporting and being a fan of a team that is good even though you have no geographic or any other reasonable connection to the team. (ie, GO YANKEES!)

Being a Lakers fan automatically makes you a bandwagoner.
