10/19/11(Wed)18:24 No.1584262775%
of college students also maintain a part time job in addition to their
social and family life. And this takes a huge toll on the students. " In
Texas, for example, of every 100 students who enrolled in a public
college, 79 started at a community college, and only 2 of them earned a
two-year degree on time; even after four years, only 7 of them
graduated. Of the 21 of those 100 who enrolled at a four-year college, 5
graduated on time; after eight years, only 13 had earned a degree."

First
year in college, and I'd rather be situated and accustomed before
juggling school, life, and a job. I'm privileged to be able to have the
opportunity to not require a job right now, and so I chose to take extra
classes to keep me busy. There's also much less fortunate people out
there who could use my potential employment position to feed their
families. |
