    I'm sorry, I don't understand the topic.

You see, I'm a Canadian who expects everything handed to me on a silver platter and doesn't know the concept of work.

Just took a drug test the other day. Soon as the place gets the result, they're gonna call me in for training.

I have a job but I loathe it, and I'm applying to literally anywhere that will take me. I've already handed my CV into most of the shops and businesses around here, now I'm hitting up bars/restaurants/fast food joints. I live in a mainly residential town with high unemployment and an unusually high number of youths so even before the shit hit the fan finding a job was a pain in the ass. Considering moving to Glasgow.

Not unemployed, but I have a question

I applied to a college. When I check online for my application's status, it says "Hold". Wtf does that mean? Should I just call them?

Just got fired because the boss' friend had gambling debts and needed a job.

Currently looking for next shitty job.

Remind me why I have this college degree?

So tomorrow morning, I leave for Senior Week (basically a week after graduation for vacation with friends). My dad wants me to get a job this summer. The first place I tried is the place I used to work and I left on good terms. So I called them and asked for a job, they told me to reapply so I did. So far they haven't called back yet.

My dad wants me to go over there today and to ask for a job...But I mean, I just don't know about that. I already called the same person I'd be asking today, the person in charge, and she told me to apply. What am I supposed to say in the store? It just feels rude and like it won't do anything. I did that when I first applied the first time I worked there, but it seems now they don't need me.

Plus today I have to go shopping with my friend to get stuff for senior week so it doesn't leave me with a lot of time to go hunting for a job...Do I just apply to places online? Or do I actually go there and talk to managers? It sucks because tomorrow I'm gone for a week so if they call in that time I'll be gone.

I'm just really nervous right now, my dad will be furious with me if I can't find one but I don't know what to do, I don't know how to act by going back to my old work and asking.

Getting a job in a restaurant is tough if you don't know anyone who works there. That being said, any form of kitchen experience is a major plus

Good luck, man. Depending on where you live, summer jobs for kids are going to be hard to come by. Businesses ain't hiring much, and those that are generally aren't going to be looking for temporary help

I'm just about finished with my exams. I was aiming for an average of 7. But the Spanish exams really fucked me over..00 in the written exam, and the oral exam. Thankfully i got a 7 in both Danish and English written exam, and yesterday i got a 12 in history exam, and that really saved my average. So i have one exam left, oral English, and if i can get a 4 or a 7 my average is saved. So it's looking alright.
