04/10/10(Sat)01:31 No.690052Most
people who post regularly on /sci/ really know very little about
science, engineering and math. They just have confidence issues and try
to overcome those by thinking that they are smarter than others. To that
end, they try to use science as a bulwark against their personal
demons, but actually fail to understand science and related disciplines
at all. The people who come by here who actually know science quickly
figure this out. They are then compelled to use their victims, how to
say, lack of social and contextual awareness against them by posting
patently silly creationist and whatnot threads to get a lulzy response.
The denizens of /sci/, being the maladjusted dorks they are, then
proceed to "debunk" the thread, smugly believing that they are fighting
the good fight against "ignorance".
And that is why /sci/ is a
fertile breeding ground for trolls. Because the /sci/tards are gullible
idiots with a superiority complex and ignorant of science topics to
boot. |
