set alarm and extra alarm clock one hour before you must wake up, then if you wake up, fall asleep for the remaining hours: works for me

Bullshit, I eat almost only dairy, and I don't have these dreams.
    >> Anonymous 03/14/10(Sun)16:13 No.512461
1)Try to remember your dreams as soon as you wake up
2)Read and think about LD a lot
3)Go to sleep very tired and resist it as long as you can
    >> Anonymous 03/14/10(Sun)16:14 No.512468
take melatonin, sleep on your back.

i dream pretty clear most of the time anyway ever since i became clinically depressed (the vivid dreams never went away).

you should also note that lucid dreaming does not mean clear dreaming, but rather that you are able to control your dreams consciously while being asleep. it mostly just takes practice of trying to find something in the dream that makes you realize its a dream, but then focusing on staying asleep. you can get good enough that you can make whatever you want happen, like fly around and stuff. supposedly.

i tried it for a while, but gave up when i realized i couldnt make my dream turn into a fantasy of me fucking random women. waste of time imo.
    >> Anonymous 03/14/10(Sun)16:20 No.512508
I read a book about this once. You can easily achieve lucid dream by, right before you go to bed, think to yourself, "I will have a lucid dream tonight" and then really believe that it will work and it will.

Deffinitley keep a diary of your dreams. Thats what I'm doing.

That way when you have similar dreams you'll remember it and hopefully realize that your in a dream.

Then achieve MOUNTAINS MADE OF PANCAKES.
    >> Anonymous 03/14/10(Sun)16:33 No.512566
There are apparently goggles that you wear when your asleep that flash whatever type of low power lights you want when it senses you're in REM sleep. The light flashes will transfer to your dream, and you should be able to recognize that it's a dream from that.
    >> Anonymous 03/14/10(Sun)16:36 No.512590
The key to lucid dreaming is training your dream recall. That is, your ability to remember your dreams. You must recall your dreams as soon as you wake up, WITHOUT MOVING after awakening.

Now, what you need to do is search your dreams for reoccurring symbols. These will be your dream signs.
    >> Anonymous 03/14/10(Sun)16:39 No.512612
get yourself in the habit of asking yourself "is this real" whenever something unexpected happens, then do it in a dream. Spoiler alert: to eject from any dream, close your dream-eyes and think about how your real body is positioned and you'll "fall" back into it.

Every time I notice I'm dreaming, I snap back to being awake.

    How do I stop this?

usually I reliably dream lucidly (?) when I can sleep in, i.e. the rem phases get very long.

As mentioned, spin around, and do other stuff that you don't do in bed, this will make you think you're not in bed and therefore you'll forget that you are actually in bed.

I once dreamt I was in a world with 3 feet all flowers.

And inside the flowers, was DELICIOUS ASS. I fucked till I woke up wet in my bed.
    >> Anonymous 03/14/10(Sun)17:37 No.512720
You can do this by using reality checks in your dreams.

In dreams, all numbers and letters (for instance, on your watch), tend to be distorted and wrong. So a good technique to check if you're dreaming or not is to check your watch or your phone once, remember the time, then check it again, if the numbers are not the same, or are distorted, then you are dreaming!

If you do that many times in real life, then you will be likely to do that in your dream, thus making you conscious of your dream.

I had only one experience with lucid dreaming, and once I realized I was asleep, I began to have a seizure.

I have also had situations where I am wake up in the morning, but cannot move. I believe it is called sleep paralysis. I can't breath or open my eyes. Sometimes I hear noises around me such as footsteps.

    Feels scary bro

aye your body does it so you don't flail around in your sleep, i'd like to experience it tbh

I try to remember all this stuff, like checking how many fingers you have and the time and so on, but I don't remember it in the dream so I don't do any of those things. What to do? Just think about checking hands whilst awake more often?
    >> Anonymous 03/14/10(Sun)17:45 No.512775

For me it always comes together with hallucinations. Like, somebody sitting next to me. It's scary because you know it's not real but your brain insists there's someone there watching you. It's kinda awesome.
    >> Anonymous 03/14/10(Sun)17:47 No.512794
Lucid Dreaming: I prefer the FILD technique. Set your alarm for about 4 hours after you go to sleep. After you wake up, and you have to be extremely tired, begin playing an imaginary piano with your index and middle fingers. Don't actually visualize a piano, just move your fingers. After a few minutes (don't count!) close your nose with your fingers and try to breathe through it. If you can, congrats! You're lucid. Don't get too excited though, you might wake up if you do.

Sleep paralysis: It can be horrifying, but it isn't always. The one time I experienced it, it was nightmare-like, but I felt... calm. Very interesting, to say the least. It's when paralysis during REM sleep carries over into reality.

Man dreams are one fucked up place.
And this is not a joke or anything, bit sad and nerdy yeah.
Sometimes i remember of having dreams where i've had very good time with a girl, during my dream i haven't had idea who it was, but then suddenly when awake i connect the girl from my dream to some irl girl i know, it's a scary feeling and it is all you can think for a while.

One time, I woke up from a dream where some kid in my English class picked on me. I walked in to school pissed as hell at him because of it, but then I realized it was only a dream.
