  • Attention 4chan extension/user script/archive developers: Some time in the next few days, we'll be rolling out a complete HTML rewrite of the imageboards.
The design will remain the same, but the underlying HTML/CSS is completely new, and validates HTML5/CSS3 (with some tweaks to account for cross-browser compatibility).

Please visit this thread to read more about the changes, and here to preview the code.

As a regular user, these changes should not affect you. You will need to update your 4chan browser extensions/user scripts when their maintainer updates them to be compatible with the changes.
The official 4chan Chrome extension will be ready to go when the updates happen, and 4chan X should be ready soon. We'll post more details on the day of the migration!

What if the Big Bang was actually a White Dwarf in it's final stage and it exploded and turned into a Black Hole and our Universe is just the inside of a massive Black hole?

White dwarfs don't explode into black holes.
There is no "final stage" of a white dwarf, they are the final stage.

What if there was absolutely nothing, and then something same from nothing because of some quantum asspull or something, then that caused the Big Bang?

    > There is no "final stage" of a white dwarf, they are the final stage.

To full autistic on you, a White Dwarf is not the final stage. There may be a stellar companion contributing mass, hence causing a nova explosion, which could result in a Black Hole. Also, any White Dwarf left to its own devices for a long enough period of time turns into a Black Dwarf, which devolves down to near absolute zero, a supremely frigid lump of crystalline carbon and iron. If proton decay exists, the protons will decay (keeping the mass a tiny bit above the minimum temp above abs. zero) and the Black Dwarf will continue to shrink across many trillions of years, until it baryonically evaporates entirely, totally converting to outflung subatomic particles across Deep Time.

A nova is when the disk of a compact object ignites in nuclear fusion it is nota type 1a supernova.
A type 1a supernova happens when a white dwarf has accreted enough matter to collapse into a neutron star not a black hole. This requires a binary companion and is not the normal evolution of a white dwarf but a special case.
A black dwarf is not distinct from a white dwarf it's just cooler, they are the same thing and hence the term is not commonly used.
Of course they decay so does everything else, that isn't really a stage of evolution of the white dwarf as it apples to matter in general. And anyway while decaying it's still a white dwarf.

Wow, OP. Do you think before posting? Your question implies that a white dwarf could exist in an empty void. And don't give me any of that string theory shit.

    No such thing
    >> Anonymous 04/28/12(Sat)19:08 No.4626666
    I suppose it's *possible* OP.

But what sort of universe would that look like if it were to occur? Does our universe look like that predicted universe?

What sort of evidence do you have to support this idea?

Ideas are wonderful, OP, imagination is great... but temper it with facts.
    >> Anonymous 04/28/12(Sat)19:09 No.4626671
what if the big bang was the very end of another universe, like, that universe had cmpletely lost entropy and was just an almost infinite number of the smallest particles there are, basically just single points, but they drifted and drifted until there was an effectively infinite distances between them, and then those points big bang'd and became this and infinite other universes, making us a small part of a huge fucking fractal that just repeats forever.

OP, Lee Smolin is already a few lightyears ahead of you on this one, but on the other hand, that means your hypothesis that black holes could connect to or contain other universes is entertained by at least one professional. Give it a read, it's good stuff except maybe the end:
