I hate math so fucking much, why would anyone like it?

    It's ugly and stupid.

    You can't into fractals?
    Neither can I.
    They're still beautiful and amazing.

Because math is actually pretty cool. The trouble is, many people have terribly unengaging teachers. Watch this video, and perhaps any of the others by her.

    Fuck it OP.

You make me so mad, not you, just you mentioning this topic makes me mad. You, like millions of other kids around the world hate math because of shitty teachers.

The way math is taught in school should be a crime.

Whoever Mr. Ntoris is, he is equally mad.

How is math taught wrong? I keep hearing this from math geeks. What is the right way to teach math?

    Someone is trolling...
Or can't understand the beauty of math which imo is the most beautiful concept or thing in the world. it's so elegant so nice, so wonderful.

Math is one of the ugliest fields of science that there is.

Math isn't just taught wrong, it isn't taught at all.
A real math problem is like a riddle. Have you seen the pirate riddle? see: http://www.mathsisfun.com/puzzles/5-pirates.html
There, that's a real, albeit basic, math problem. The difference is that you have to figure out how to solve the problem, rather than just applying memorized tools. It the moment, math education is like if literature classes just had you memorize books.

Other than comp-sci there isn't another science that use an axiomatic system, the only 'true by itself' science, also most scientist even from other fields consider it the purest science, also if citation is needed i have to look for it in english since most of my books are in spanish, therefore if it's needed, ask for it.

Just because something is pure doesn't mean it isn't shitty.

Nazism was pure evil, does that mean that they were the champions of benevolence?

    Fine fine.

    Stalin was pure evil.

He killed millions of people, does that make him a champion of benevolence does it?

There are many other evil people I could use. Just paste them into my post if you don't like the Stalin example.

Not OP but I also hate math. Other than finding an awesome tutor or transferring to a different school how could I enjoy it more? I'd like to be better at it I just find it incredibly boring, most of the shit I've read online like the Khan Academy does nothing to change this opinion.

    Pick one.
Discard the word "evil" from the childish dictionary you have.

    How about this.

Something can be basic, but that doesn't necessarily make it beautiful.

    Why would it? Explain yourself.

khan academy is still just high school math, so its not really any better... Go read Godel Escher Bach or something - its like pop-math, but its at least an example of how math can be cool. I'm sure there are much better introductions, but I kind of just endured until I got far enough in math that it did seem cool.

Graph theory, Combinatorics, and Comp Sci are areas that are real interesting math, but don't require too much background knowledge, so maybe stuff like that would be good.

It's not basic, it's actually pretty complex, if that's what you mean. And still the pureness and beauty i am talking about so was someone like einstein, and lincoln(not kidding) is that it doesn't need empirical evidence, the way of proofing theorems is original and fun(reading and doing) and has so many interesting topics.that's what makes it so beautiful
