How the hell did things get so bad that China is leading the world in renewable energy?
    >> Anonymous 09/15/11(Thu)02:05 No.3740490
Because the wily Jew who is in control of all Western industrial production, can't actually put a meter on the sun or a meter on the wind. So Western exploitation of solar and wind power must remain pathetically low.

Because what we're witnessing isn't just the decline of the USA from just renewable energy, but from being a super power in general. The US has stayed top dog for nearly 100 years now, but regimes must always come to an end. China will start leading the way and become the capitalist giant that the US always tried to be, but never could. There's no red tape with patents because China has no official patenting system; this can be seen in Chinese knockoffs galore. They have cheap labor due to their huge population which means things are going to get done for dirt cheap all the while turning huge profit. They'll get done in 10 years what would have taken us 50 at this rate; I actually predict the Chinese will be the first to start space colonization within the next 5-10 decades.

    What? No.

China enacted massive subsidies for photo voltaic production.

So much so that that the only way to make money of solar in North America is with instillation or maintenance.

China has always had their shit together when it came to pollution and green energy. Western world has been so far behind it's not even funny.

You have to take into consideration though that china is a very densely populated country in comparison to most western countries. So they really feel the effects of pollution affecting their everyday life. Whereas in the west people believe that god made the earth as a gift for them and that jesus will come soon anyways so it should be an all you can eat buffet.

They are leading in nuclear energy, too. I attribute it towards their technocratic government.

That and their willingness to sacrifice the well being of their countrymen. To install the latest 6 (SIX! SIX REACTORS!! AT ONE SITE!!! AT THE SAME TIME!!!) AP-1000s, they told a huge village to just gtfo of the designated site. Granted, it's not the first time the Chinese have done this (Three Gorges Dam). And to be completely honest, I'd like to see that amount of nuclear energy being installed at once in the US. But Christ, I don't think I could live with displacing that amount of people.

The Chinese can see a problem and a huge opportunity developing, if you have the resources you'd be a idiot not to jump on this gravy train

I mean could you imagine if we invested nearly $800,000,000,000 in Solar, Thorium and electrical infrastructure? But that's a lot of money (and jobs), good job we didn't waste that much fucking about on anything sandy now...
