    Hey /sci/

Is it possible to increase your own intelligence (not knowledge)? I suck at things like math, science, reading comprehension, etc.

...I don't know. I was personally gifted with it, but sometimes I have to "retrain" myself to streamline my thinking in a certain area (strategy and math require different thought processes, for example.)

But if you don't have the ability in the first place, I have no idea.

Snake could take Eva in hand-to-hand but obviously Eva is more cunning and manipulative

I'd take Eva hand-in-hand too, if you know what I mean.

    Practice thinking. Do logic puzzles.

would you be willing to consider focusing on the strengths that you do have ,and make that work for you, and have science as more of a hobby than anything else?

i'm the same way but scientific concepts and ideas fascinate me nonetheless,to the degree i can understand them, therefore i always read up on scientific things, regardless--after some smarty has written it in a more palatable way, of course).

i can without a doubt tell you that it would be impossible for me to become a physicist, but ironically enough, i understand many physics theories and even quantum physics theories after they have been explained, in 'plain English'. lol

    yes, training.

I believe intelligence is described as the ability to learn and calculate and comprehend and analyze information quickly. In that sense, no, OP, you can't. But you can probably do it quicker than you realize, you just lack the practice and conditioning.

yes, take difficult college level math/science courses and try as hard as you can. repeat. repeat. eventually you will get better at it and smarter.
