I said that the reason for the original riot is irrelevant AT THE MOMENT. If the government acted competently and with the interests of the British people at heart, would this be happening? Probably not. However, the more pressing concern is that the government is not taking action to do its most basic duty: to protect the citizenry and their property. People are being robbed and forced to strip at knife-point. Small businesses are being broken into and livelihoods ruined. Most of these people are motivated by greed, pure and simple.
