Hey /sci/, I was wondering if you all could help me determine what field of study / career would be best for me.

What did you all study in college? What do you do for a living now? What's it like? Would you have chosen a different path if you could go back now?

I'll leave those questions there and tell me about my interests, priorities, etc in my next post.

Pic completely unrelated, it's me from behind.

Studying computer science. It's like 70% electrical engineering and 30% Software stuff.
It's a lot of work, actually. But it's not that bad. You got to decide on your own what you do all day long as long as you succeed in the exams every semester.
Don't know what I will do for a living yet.

    >Would you have chosen a different path if you could go back now?
I would have jumped of a cliff at the age of, like, 13, when everyone would say "he just didn't know better", but that hasn't anything to do with college. Guess my life just kinda went wrong beyound the point where I could fix it.

    1. I'm not looking for a career to give my life meaning and fulfill my existence. I leave that to my relationships with friends and family.

    2. If the scale from pure application to pure theory and research goes from
    1 - automotive mechanics
    2 - architecture
    ...to...
    9 - theoretical physics
    10 - pure mathematics
I want to work somewhere from 5 to 8.

    3. Modern advances in most anything are the result of the Medici, so I'm very interested in interdisciplinary studies. The most recent example that comes to mind would be prosthetics and computers that take advantage of the fact that our bodies are electrical in nature.

    You have no idea.
    1. You're mixing up things. Idiot.
    2. That's wrong. There is no such scale. Idiot.
    3. Interdisciplinary studies? At this age? Nigga, please.
