First things first.

If the girl initiated the aggression, the man had the right to defend himself with force at most equal but not exceeding the force of the original assault against him, while that assault was still present and with the specific goal of making her cease and desist (preemptive defence or retaliation against illegal assault are both unacceptable).

Following that scenario and considering self-defence against legal self-defence is an oxymoron and unacceptable, the woman has committed an independent crime against his person.

Assuming the most likely possibility, that she didn't aim at killing him, this isn't attempted murder. It definitely is grievous bodilly harm however.

Following the opposite scenario that the man initiated the aggression, the woman can defend herself following the aforementioned principles. In this case it is rather obvious that she has exceeded the necessary force, which would therefore mean she is liable to the extent that she exceeded the justifiable defencive force for which part her attack is a crime. So in this case she has done the same crime, but should receive a slightly reduced sentence because for a part of it her action was justifiable.

Finally the bystanders (aside from any compensation the cameraman may owe to the victim for capturing his person, part of his personal identity without asking for his consent first) are liable to the extent that they are capable of diagnosing that this is a crime and they can stop it without risking harm to themselves.

That's the legal context.
