The only thing I have is SSI and not even minimum wage jobs are hiring. My own mom has been job hunting for about a year, possible two and only got one temp-job which lasted a month.

My boyfriend's mother is the same. Fucking. Way. For the first few years that we were dating, he still lived with her and she was constantly fawning over him and being a clingy mom. Now that he and I live together, she's still constantly calling and being all pathetic and shit.
I'm not talking pathetic just for saying "I love you", that's normal.
I'm talking, she still treats him like he's three. When she made him meals, she'd fill his plate for him and bring it to him on the couch; she did his laundry, made his bed, cleaned his room, did fucking EVERYTHING for him.
Thing is, I love her. She is an amazing and kind woman, and we get along really well - she's going to be a wonderful mother-in-law.
I just can't stand how fucking clingy she is with him. It's gross.

I'm in a similar situation where, my Mom goes on business trips all the time and I'm stuck watching my younger siblings. She'll just disappear for a week or two, and leave enough food to last for a couple days. Doesn't matter if I have an exam or two that week, gotta make dinner and drive them to sports practices/games that are sometimes an hour away. She knows I'm depressed but she just guilt trips the whole time (she told me about her failed attempted suicide when she was my age, blah blah blah). I wish she had succeeded sometimes.

He's of the lower end of the autisic spectum, he's able to draw well and do some assignments, and knows how to use a laptop well. He's almost 18 now.

Regarding myself: I'm 25 years of age, and I'm on the high end of the autism spectrum (Asperger's syndrome), and I get medicaid, food stamps, and SSI. Problem is all the section 8 programs are full and their waiting lists are closed, same with public housing. Craigslist is mostly miss, with people asking for $500 dollars per month (My SSI is $630 per month)
