The US has no need for violent governmental change. We have a voting process for that allows for peaceful change. Just because some of the more unsavory citizens decide they don't want to make use of it, doesn't mean they're justified in revolting.

Interesting point, before the Spanish-American war the US didn't care and wanted to be left alone. Once that war was over, and WWI came around they got bullied into joining it. When WWII came around, the world when *sigh the americans* and fostering them with the title of world police, which was held by the English, French and Spanish.

I suppose the US could take it's blocks and go home, but what an interesting world it would be then.

If life is about enjoyment, who the fuck cares how many cameras are watching you have fun/living it. OMG BUT WHAT ABOUT PRIVACY...noone cares about what the fuck you as an individual is doing as you pass their cameras on your way to whatever you do.

I have an idea of what MY perfect world would be like. We would be responsible for repairing a single robot that worked for us, and tons of other generally valid ideas that can and would work had i been born into a world without so much greed and competition.

We will evolve out of this system, eventually. But if your asking for a revolution for some petty shit, I don't think you know what you really want/realize what would actually happen.

I'm pretty sure many Americans want to do what's good, but most don't know what the fuck is good nor how to achieve it. And alone, a person doesn't have much power.

Obama wasn't the best choice of president, I think, but hell of a lot better than McCain. Obama was headed in the right direction, but his methods are complete shit. He doesn't know what he's doing, and were he to even come up with some brilliant idea, it'd most likely would mean stripping something from the people in the other branches. They wouldn't like that, selfish, greedy bastards...

Anyways, even if we were to revolt... saying we succeeded, what about after? How the fuck are we going to run the country now? All I can see is having to wait it out, hoping everything...fixes itself...somehow.

Also, I hate the wars we're in. There's no reason to be in them at the moment while the country needs serious fixing.

I'm not saying i dont value privacy, but your acting like the government is one man sitting in a room watching everyone, digging for information and finding out every piece of dirt on anyone it can. While this is plausible with google/basic surveillance, it doesn't mean much to the general public. I live in a fairly upper class city in southern California and can say with confidence that i am not being monitored when i am not on my computer, And considering the ramifications of someone actually monitoring me, I don't think its happening, or will happen.

Their is just too many people.....And its safe to say 40% of them are watching television right now.

pull out at once from occupied nations
focus the new budget on social programs, improving the country and dealing with debt
create a new, direct democratic system by which the people can present ideas for change which can then be worked on and improved in conjunction with their elected representatives so that government comes to better reflect the needs of the citizens
immediately have the heads of banking and current government put on trial for their crimes and, as punishment, have them imprisoned for life and their assets ceased to support the new society

rockefeller alone is worth billions. hell, him and his buddies are worth the budget of thousands of african nations.

Perhaps you're the exception because many people can't, social forces tend to matter. But hey keep on asking anyway, what is the worst that could happen? Well now because they say so you also a terrorist and are locked away without trial. Democracy doesn't work you know, if people fear asking questions. Democracy doesn't work when there is justice without trial. Democracy doesn't work, and then it's time for revolution, to try again from scratch.

firstly, the bush admin for having supported a war in which many thousands lost their lives purely to support what can be seen as either a cynical defense of private interests or a misplaced and dangerously ill-conceived idealistic attack on the middle east.

the banking and business institutions have subverted the course of american democracy by tweaking public support using insidious techniques and via lobbyists/bundlers, ultimately to maintain their control of US social and political life.

In an egalitarian society, where no single group is given special privilege, it hardly matters an iota whether any single person has principals or not. Mankind as a whole (when not subverted by groups with privilege) is fundamentally good, and so mankind as a whole will make the right decisions.
