just watched it, it looks great - the visuals are absolutely
breathtaking, like that scene with the owl flying through water
droplets, but the characters remain lighthearted. I can recognize lots
of the characters, especially the cute little pygmy owl. Owls are so
cool. I'm glad someone's finally making a movie about them, I'm tired of
penguins.
My favorite part in the series that I can recall is
when the owl children are stuck in the orphanage(?) tree, where they are
told not to start any sentences with "Wh-" sounds, because those sounds
begin questions, and nobody was allowed to question anything there. It
broke my heart as a kid that those owls weren't allowed to be curious
and also couldn't make owl noises ("whoo whoo")
Also I remember
the weird phrases and terms they had for different things, like the
pellets they dropped and they even termed what happens when you're
flying and your wings freeze up and you start falling.
OH MAN.
