I have nothing better to do... yes that's how pathetic my life is.

The fact that I have no friends. I turn on my computer, which eventually always leads here because the internet is a small place.

It's a place to discuss anything and everything, but it's a lot more interesting because you can post pretty much anything you want to (except illegal stuff). It's raunchy and bizarre, just the way I like it.

It helps pass the time when I'm alone. It's awful.

Because the DeviantArt forums suck.

Because I get raw opinions most of them time, whether they be from a 14 year old or a 30 year old.

There's a sick facination to browsing r9k.
This board is like going to a freakshow.
I don't know how much of the roneryness here is real and how much is elaborate trolling, but it always leaves me with a probably unhealthy mixture of cringing disgust and malicious amusement.

The Anonymity.

Plain and simple. No registration, no pre-judging based on recognizable people in a nickname-based community, and a feeling that freedom of speech can be expressed honestly, during a time when freedom of speech is generally criminally repressed by most aspects of modern life and modern society. even online.

Personally I think I browse this board specifically along with the rest of 4chan because its the only place with all of this content mashed together, and it just works smoothly through a very simple style.

So, for me, its the content, hands down. Where else can you see people get torn apart limb from limb and then scroll down and see trap porn?

4chan is pretty unique (apart from the other *chans). It's one of the few places with almost total anonymity, and it has such huge traffic and a pretty nerdy userbase. /r9k/ is the only general board other than /b/, a nd /b/ sucks.

I hate /r9k/ though. The misogyny makes me so angry and sometimes upsets me, it's rare that I stop browsing in a good mood. Guess I'm a masochist, because I keep coming back.

On a Saturday, when all of my friends are out doing something, I sit for hours on /r9k/. I don't ever post, ever. I just browse. I have browsed nonstop since 4pm, only taking two bathroom breaks. It's 10:14. Everything is so familiar here. Reading everyone's posts makes me feel like I'm socializing. Sometimes I'll respond back, but out loud, to myself.
