Disagreed somewhat. Only people on general boards such as /r9k/ or /b/, who post just for the sake of it, are assuredly social failures. Some of the special interest boards contain discussion that would be impossible to find in most vicinities.

You now realize OP's statement was true a year ago, but these days half of the posters are here to boost their egos in rate threads and AIM hookup threads.

A lot of us have friends, but many topics are just too "politically incorrect" to discuss with them without being anonymous.
