A little more info on how he "hacked" the mods and stole some accounts.

I don't know how he got them but I assumed he looked up email addresses of the users and got through by answering the secret questions. I don't think any bruteforcing was involved. For one most email and newgrounds accounts automatically lock accounts when someone has tried testing passwords.

Every few days a mod would post some info on how to secure you account with some pretty basic shit like "don't put your password as something stupid". Credzx who had control over a mod would delete the thread. He would delete a lot of other threads too.

When the admins found out mods were being hacked they would temporarily remove mod privileges for those mods.

Credzx was involved with the Duck Division who would submit spam flashes. I think some had malicious coding and others had CP on them. So it is possible those flashes could contribute to the hacked accounts.

At the time I didn't look at random flash in the portal nor did I post a lot. I just lurked.

Meh, I've banned entire ISP ranges before just because I can. I suspect every large site admin has banned the whole of AOL.com before back in early 2000 just because of the shitty users.

Funny enough I wrote a nice php script which would eventually fuck that spammer over (along all the others). Not captcha based and nothing changes in the UI to regular users. Just a very effective antispam system. I use it still on every forum I've ever hosted.
