The question is this: Have you actually tried the Post to Facebook "feature"? If so post your screencaps here. I highly recommend that you redact any personal information your picture contains.

This is also a general discussion thread about this year's April Fool's Event. But while we post photos, what would you think that 4chan 2.0 should really be like?

I did sent moot an email suggesting that feature be changed so that the person who clicked on the link be lead to the OP of the thread and not show what the person's actual message on facebook and not be highlighted on the actual 4chan thread.

Remember what moot said about CAPTCHAs? They go against what 4chan is all about: barrier-free expression. CAPTCHAs can be easily broken, but checkmarks can't.

Spambots can be programed to break most captchas, but spambots can't click on checkmarks. Before April 1st, there was whole bunch of spam from "youknowwhere". But since moot implemented Facebook Connect, most of the spam are gone not only from /b/ but from almost every work-safe board and some NSFW boards.

While most of the 4chan links go 404 due to the nature of imageboards, it's really a radical idea to stop spam.

Yeah, moot is a true genius.

    4chan hasn't assimilated anyone since 2007.

Assimilation requires a larger number of original users. 4chan is about 70% new users, new being post 2007.

The only board that has the checkmark marked by default is /b/ and there's still spambots running around. All the other SFW and NSFW have it unmarked so it won't stop them.

If moot wanted to try a radical new solution for spam he would start by boards who actually need it. Everything points to take it as a prank.

That's the shame of it. Moot made a great site, if he could just leave well enough alone I'd be a much happier camper. But he's grown into a proper normalfag. Time magazine, conferences, twitter, etc. Now this facebook shit.

Did you know posting jb is now a bannable offense?

In five years I guarantee you that no one will remember the anime roots, or people posting gore, because those people will be banned by the 45 year old moderators, so as not to offend all the normal conversations.

I know all good things have to come to an end, but It's going to be sad to say goodbye.

It has been years ago for /b/, but recently /s/ started enforcing it. To be honest that's the least of our worries with almost daily "pre-teen" threads. Not that I don't enjoy it but it can get the board deleted.
