Also in the US student discounts at bars kind of suck. Then again the bars around campus here kind of suck. Most places usually have stuff like a 'nickle night' where you buy a plastic cup at the door for five dollars, then a round of drinks for a large group is only a dollar. The drinks are obviously shitty.

Though I am about 15 minutes from the Willimantic Brewing Company, which is an amazing pub/brewery. Thursdays you get 2 dollars of a pitcher of beer and half price on your second appetizer with a student ID. Otherwise it's only around 4-5 dollars for in house drafts, which isn't that bad.

but some ones are nice though, aren't they? It all feels so personal, and so clean. the teachers here are great, class sizes are small. If you get to know them, you get a lot of connections in life (not just jobs, but people to fix things for you, places to crash etc).

my brother went here too years ago. He set up labs and got paid for it, and he had a spare key to the supplies room because of that. they sure had a lot of fun with that stuff haha.
