So why does /r9k/ pirate everything?

Don't you want a nice collection like me to show off?

Picture this; invite a girl over... is she going to feel more at home with a guy that has a computer and said "LOL 120GIGS OF MEDIA WHORE, CHECCK IT OUT BAHBAH!" OR the guy that says, "Check out my film/tv collection, see if there's anything that catches your fancy babe."

I get laid, every. single. other. night.

    That is all.

People don't even think about your collection. So of course you wouldn't have to worry about what they think. Hell, we all have some collection of books and movies on our computers. But some people go overboard with it. The only reason people would collect so many movies on their computer is because they think that someone is going to come and see their collection some day, and of course no even remotely cares about your shitty collection. I mean you only watch a movie once or twice, so if you only save your favorite movies then you collection shouldn't be too big.

Empty DVD cases and a color printer are cheap.

Just print up your own labels. Put a QR Code sticker on each one, so you can just scan it from your phone to cue up the movie; this way she never has to see that the cases are empty.

The internet is too important and useful to humanity to cripple with anti-piracy methods, so finding a win-all solution to the infrastructure of the internet is essential. Taking in the factor of GETTING LAID is arbitrary, even if you can show yer babe some amazing shit that is impossible to love that you can't afford on DVD. It's 2010, it's about time you buy a large HD and store it in there.

Buying DVDs is for the birds and dumb fucks, instead of $1500 worth of DVDs, put it into your saving accounts, or open a side business.

Say you bought a DVD for $15 a pop (I know some cost more, some cost less)

    $15 x 100 DVDs is $1500.
