  • Kimmo Alm aka "Sysop" from AnT has been spamming us for YEARS now, and has recently stepped it up. This shit has got to fucking stop. As promised, here are all of the e-mails he has sent me over the years (and my responses).

We've done all we can do about him. We've banned THOUSANDS of proxies, and deleted OVER A HUNDRED THOUSAND spam posts. His attacks continue though, and we've reached the limit of what we can do.
edit: we aren't going to add captcha.

Help me /r9k/. I'm a Brit, 18, about to finish school, and I am so fucking sick of it all. The bitching, the pettiness, the banality; I'm trapped in a tiny little town and I just want to get out. I want to fuck off as soon as my exams are over, and come back in time to start university in the Autumn - or not come back at all, if I don't get the grades. What I don't want to is to be stuck in this shitty town all summer working in Morrisons or something equally soul-destroying. Any suggestions on what do/where to go? I've got about a thousand pounds, maybe a bit more (just under $2000) that I'm willing to spend on this.

Cross-posted from /trv/ because you guys are pretty knowledgeable about this.

I dunno, it just seems to be exchanging one drudge for another. It'd definitely get dull after two months of it, and I'd like freedom to move about and explore more. I'm thinking if I can't find anything else I'll just go fuck it and buy an interrail ticket for the next day and just wander through Europe.

I've spent 18 years now in this little town, I want to get away and actually see things. I don't want the summer go by in a series of monotonous parties and hours of mind-numbing work, I want to actually experience the world outside of this comfortable middle-class valley.
    >> Anonymous 03/16/10(Tue)19:13:19 No.7933551
it's not where you are OP, it's who your hanging with. if you cant have fun at partys with your mates and woman at 18 then your gonna be fucking misrable when you finally hit my age , 28, and have to get a real job.

I can and do, it's just got so repetitive, and I'd like to see the outside world before I head off to university.

Man up and tell us what town you live in
It's probably not even that bad
    >> Anonymous 03/16/10(Tue)19:19:41 No.7933631
Travelling won't actually get you a whole lot of worldly experience, people just pretend it does because they don't want to admit it's a waste of time, and they are pretentious dicks that want to act cool or something.

Or at least that's what I keep telling myself.
It's the only thing stopping me from joining the army or something.

There are plenty of places to go in Britain alone.

Where do you actually live, OP?

All I'm saying is the South-West. It's not like it's a hotbed of poverty and depravity; it's just nothing ever happens, and I think I could spend my summer far better and far more memorably elsewhere.

Are you some kind of Cornish farmer?
    I hope so.
From now on I will read all your posts in my cornish farmer accent.

Also I feel like I'm in the same boat kind of.

I'm surrounded by so many I might as well be - and I have family who own farms.

Does anyone actually have suggestions on where to go or what to do?

Same situation except I'm north-west. Sick of education and all the bullshit.
I'm taking a break between A-Levels and Uni, Going to America for 6 months and Europe for 5. Doing it as low cost as possible. America is the main problem, they won't just let me wander around for 6 months unless I have a certain amount of money. Bad times. They don't seem to realize I'm fine with sleeping rough.
Europe should be pretty chill though. I know people I can crash with.

Northwestfag here again, would reccomend finding your own destinations.
I've chosen some American cities and landmarks, some European cities (Mainly capitals) and landmarks, and then some oddities. I was considering visiting Chernobyl, but I really hate the idea of going anywhere near Ukraine.

I have been talking with a friend about touring the middle east - Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, possibly Iran if we can get in - but there's no guarantee that'll actually happen. That wouldn't be the whole two months or so though, if it does happen, and ideally I want to keep myself busy the entire time.

Do you actually know anyone in America, or are you planning on going there completely alone and with no contacts? I know a few people there, but there's the problem of actually getting there (expensive flights), plus the question of if they'd want me crashing on their floors.
    >> Anonymous 03/16/10(Tue)19:40:18 No.7933931
My plans for the summer involve heading to one of the big music festivals, maybe going for a week or so binge drinking and offending the locals somewhere in Spain or the Netherlands or something, and finding some kind of shit job for a few months.

I suppose you are looking for something a little classier than that though.

I considered middle east but I've already been to Saudi/United Emirates and I don't have the balls for the heat unfortunately. Still, its an option. Go for it if it interests you.

I know nobody in the United States, closest thing I have is an Uncle in Brazil. Planning on going completely alone, but I wouldn't mind company. My friends said they might fly out to see me during holidays depending on where I'm staying. They're not the most organized bunch though so I'm not expecting anything.
Expensive flights can be beaten with lowest class, shitty airline and booking early. About 200-500 quid. It's bad, but not as bad it could be. I hate being uncomfortable for long periods of time, and having flown to America first class before and it being terrible, I'm sure I can bear with it. I plan on sleeping rough (camping mainly), hostels, motels and pretty much anything cheaper then 100 dollars. Planning on taking Grayhound but haven't got far enough to check out bus schedules, prices etc. Would try and nap on there, I guess.
