/r9k/-I..don't know how to troll. I wish to become a master in the art of trolling, but I have no idea how. I know what it is(basically) and how people react. But I just can't get it. Can you robots give me any insight?
If you want to troll /r9k/ all you have to do is make a post stating one of the following:How you are a woman in a relationship and lol idk what to do to get my bf off!!How you are happy. How good your life is.enjoy
Trolling is the art of mocking seriousness. Find some serious business and mock it openly and get a reaction. There's your entry level trolling for a start.
>silly hats onlyheh
down with this sort of thing!

Femanon hereBefore every post on r9k put femanon here.
Find someone who believes in something. Draw him into a discussion about this. Make absurd conclusions from slightly incorrect assumptions. Resist all attempts to stand corrected.

Master troll here. The key is to have something ridiculous that you can get behind and support with arguments. If you make a ridiculous statement people will just respond "hurr durr," but when you blow them up with amazing argument skills, they won't know how to respond except to get mad.
Talk all kinds of smack. Never listen to reason. Pretend everything you do wrong was intentional. Act like nothing hurts your feelings. Basically argue like a 25 year old black woman on the Maury Povich show. Keep yelling the same three words repeatedly
ive considered starting a website on the philosophy of trolling, both IRL and over the net, citing examples and perfecting the art.
>>7892959>>7892900Combine these two right here. Throw away reason completely and have a solid backing argument. If you are good enough people wont be able to respond in a way that in their mind makes any sense. They get so over loaded with rage that they can't fight back and they just get madder making it harder for them to fight back. By this point in time you have won and you can manipulate the argument in any way you see fit.

>>7892959you're a bad troll, unlike to lure anyone but the naivest to your silly arguments.
Everyone here is wrong. absolutely wrong. This is what makes trolling an art... The secret behind successful trolling is belief. It is belief that the other person is so ignorant or simply misinformed that it is frustrating you to a point where it shouldn't--ie that person starts spamming you are typing all caps or sending you hate mail/death threats. Being able to argue well is a skill that successful trolls should have but it is not the key. Making up bullshit stories is not trolling either. As far as everything goes probably the easiest people to troll are Europeans who speak English and the best place to troll is youtube. 4chan is not a place to troll it is a place for trolls...mostly to congregate and exchange troll stories and tactics. However these tactics are never given out directly--so whoever is reading this consider this a huge favor from me to you. Here are some easy examples for you to begin trolling: -Go to any conspiracy theory website or simply go to youtube and find some conspiracy theory videos and simply deny everything those idiots say. You don't even have to know anything about politics or current events of the world or anything. You just argue and they will argue back. - Again find a European channel or a video about America/Europe. Either act way over-Americanized or just insult Europe. Either way you'll elicit some response for the stupid Euro. They fall for it everytime. Americans are also easy to troll if you are pretending to be an American hating Euro as well.
OP here:Thanks guys, I'm starting to get it. Hopefully someday I'll be as great as you.
>>7893043Yet you answered it.Either way trolling is a waste of time. I have the feeling most of the time at 4chan it's either 1 troll samefag or a few other people feeding the troll or trying to reverse troll and neither really believing what they write. At other sites it's way too easy to troll and you start to feel bad about it. Insulting someone and knowing that you actually hurt them IRL feels bad man
>>7893324No, it feels good. Ain't you a sociopath?
>>7893324(OP again)Is this an example of a troll?
>>7893418If you must, yes. But I don't think it was done on purpose, so it wouldn't be trolling.
This should explain the basics.

Remember, the primary goal of trolling is to incite laughter or humor at one other's expense. The /b/tards refer to these as "lulz"; call them what you will. There are many forms of the troll. One is the "defender of the absurd", in which you pick an absurd viewpoint on a serious topic, and defend it as if you are 100% dedicated to your argument. Don't back down.Another form is to point out the flaws or silliness in other people. Maybe you pretend to agree with their viewpoints in such a dogmatic manner it makes them look silly. Maybe you trick them into making a fool of themself in some manner, as demonstrated in this thread.Whatever you do, remember the age old adage: Trolling is a art.
