I make bad first impressions

People around me would rather waste all their time bitching about their lives and how much they hate this place, making no effort to improve their lives, instead of making a concentrated effort to go do fun things.

I find it hard to take the iniative and ask other people to do stuff with me because I think they'll say no or will say yes but only because they feel forced to.

i have a low self-esteem brought on by being a huge nerd through my formative years, and only now beginning to feel some sense of normalcy and social ability.

In sum, I'm too shy.

All my "friends" I made in highschool.
Seeing as that is quite far behind me they are al doing there own shit now and everyone has split up.
Others I don't want to bother with because we have so little in common anymore.
I'm not actively seeking anyone else because I'm not interested in what they do.

Misanthropic schizoid geek that thinks most people are boring and vapid. I have a few acquaintances, but no friends. The ones I did have I fell out of contact with for various reasons, the last being because of something minor blowing up into something major, and me deciding that she wasn't worth my trust or my time.

same as op in that i don't smoke, drink, or attempt to date or have casual sex. can't be bothered. i've found that people generally leave yourself to yourself if you remain unobtrusive, which is how i prefer it. i've also found that most if not all of the people who will ignore obvious signs that you want to be left alone--quietly reading to yourself while listening to music--those people who decide you should talk to them anyways, tend to be jerks.

I have friends. I just don't get to spend the time with them that I would like because I commute to school and nobody invites me to anything. OP, I also do not smoke or drink, but I will have sex at the drop of a hat. Drugs I just have no interest in trying, and my family has a history of alcohol abuse, so I'd rather not deal with that, but what's wrong with sex?

I am a twisted, manipulative, cynical bitch. After years of being bullied and taken advantage of by opportunistic people due to my social naivete, I have become just as vile.

My closest friend lives in Spain now. my former best-friend I haven't talked to in 5 months (good riddance) but we talked practically every day, so now with my other friend being in spain I feel more lonely than usual. Other people I'm friendly with have already graduated (I dropped a semester) or are highschool people I no longer have anything in common with.

Sometimes I go days without talking to any friends other than internet people. Kinda weird.

I live so far away from people I take classes with that they automatically count me out when they do things. I'm left to hover awkwardly when they talk about having fun on weekends and at parties, secretly wishing that they would think to include me.
