I was the same OP. You get over it mostly once you hit a quarter of a century. I am 27 now and will be in my mid 30's by the time I graduate uni (went back to do psych).

I am going to be 25 next month, nothing to show for it.

LOL! I'm 29 and in the best shape, the richest and the best state of mind I have ever been. Everybody thinks they are "old" after 21 because there is no milestone you are waiting for (in the U.S. at least). Give me a break you little douche. As you get older, if you aren't a complete loser you will start to appreciate your age.

By the age of 22 I had gone on tour with 7 rock bands, slept with almost 30 girls, fallen in love, and visited nearly 150 cities in 21 countries.
But numbers are ridiculous. Comparing yourself to others, doubly so. I compare myself to Bob Dylan, with his 'The Freewheelin'..' released at age 22, and that depresses me. And he probably compared HIMself to someone else too.

I'm 30 and feeling fine, get over yourself OP and enjoy life. People are born, get old and die -- enjoy the bit in the middle, it doesn't last forever.
