hmm yeh bbc are fairly unbiased.

there are basically the same as all the american news organiseations though apart from they use subtle propaganda instead of direct in your face propaganda

all them 'the noughties' programmes where terrible though i remember hearing 'in the 90's we watched big brother and now in the noughties we live in big brother!'
    >> Anonymous 01/25/10(Mon)03:15:52 No.7272882
I know it isnt very popular, and even a few ausfags still wouldent of ever watched it, but SBS news is honestly the best news sauce in australia, it actually talks about international news, whats actually happening in the world, and i dont think its ever done a story related to celebrity gossip (which i have a fuck-tonne of respect for).

I hate celebrity gossip, it is honestly one of the worst things about the world we live in, i mean the fact that brad pitt and agenlina jolie's marrige split actually made national news, well it made me rage pretty fucking hard...

BBC shovels a lot of that global warming crap in your throat, aside from that I got nothing against it.

They've got some very cool programs like world history in 100 objects

An accurate news outlet then. As stated.

    Any broadcasting company that asks.

"Is capitalism working"? Is obviously the only one with integrity left.

lol. Seeing people honestly condemning Israel for it's actions is still stunning, after all these years.

Any kind of support for palestine or any of Israel's surrounding arab countries is genuinely amazing to me
    >> Anonymous 01/25/10(Mon)03:26:22 No.7272966
BBC is a step above American news outlets, but I'd hardly call it unbiased. For example, they were blatantly pro-Obama during the 2008 election. Now I'm not some Freeper Fox News-loving Republican, but as a long time BBC news fan, even I was very disgusted at how they never reported anything negative about Obama. I used to laugh at people who screamed about "liberal bias in the media", but I now understood where they were coming from. They also tend to be too pro-Israel for my liking, but not nearly as bad as American news.

Probably because it lacks controversy. You wander into this thread and think (mostly) "uh...yeah...yeah, that sounds about right." and wander out.

    What's left?

SBS news is good in the HERE IS TODAYS BIG EVENTS sense. which is fine. That is a damn important part of the news, that many others omit entirely or get wrong.

but their current affairs stuff is mediocre to idiotic. Have you ever watched insight? It's appalling.

BBC are currently scratching their chins, wondering whether fag jokes should be banned.

I don't know about BBC, I've seen a couple knucklehead stories about 4chan 'raids' where they don't know half the story, basically just making shit up.
