are social species that have specialized members who's duties do not
involve procreation. Bees, for instance, have only three genders,
female queens, who reproduce, male drones, who reproduce, and female
workers, who do not. Ants have several genders that do not reproduce.
among mammals, few males have the opportunity to reproduce, yet they
still play a vital role of their pack/herd/whatever.
its
possible that humans actually have 4 genders, only two (maybe three...
lesbians sometimes want kids) which are driven to reproduce. I am
pretty sure we have identified the social niche homosexual men fill.
throughout history they have been advisors, artisans, caregivers and
generally adjunct to heterosexual women. given how well women get
along, having a few gay men as social lubricant can be useful |
