    805 KB US sending 10,000 troops to earthquake-hit Haiti Anonymous 01/15/10(Fri)18:25:26 No.7111565
    >Up to 10,000 US troops will be on the ground or off the coast of Haiti by Monday to help deal with the earthquake aid effort, US defence officials say.

10 trillion produced annually yes, but we can't just stop spending money one year to put all 10 trillion towards debt payments, in fact we couldn't take 1 trillion a year for 13 years and put it towards debt payments, it will take more like 30 years of regularly attempting to pay off that debt to pay it off if we suddenly stopped acquiring debt at the same time, just to stop inflation from going out of control, and we can't do that either because there are so many entitlements and military programs that must be funded or American power will decline rapidly and we won't be making 10 trillion GDP a year anymore at all.

The only solution unfortunately is to inflate our way out of it, and that means the threat of hyper inflation, which will destroy the economy, undermine the value of the dollar and harm our strength world wide in the process

    So you are retarded

But by all means, go and take out loans in excess of your yearly income for us and let us know how it works out

Again, if we can't pay it off in one year, we have to cut way back to pay it off every year for decades

    That's a fucking issue

That's why we say we're saddling our children with our debt, because they'll be paying it off if we don't inflate the dollar to get us out of debt, and that will harm confidence in the dollar and could lead to a spiral of dollar printing which will destroy it's value

Do you WANT to have to wheel barrow your monthly earnings down to wal mart's grocery to buy one loaf of bread for the month?

They fucked up then, they shouldn't be putting themselves in a situation where they have to pay more than about 20% of their annual income in mortgage payments, however housing payments are a different matter, because you spread that payment out over 15 or 30 years (if you're an idiot you pick 30) and it does tend to destroy people's ability to generate real wealth for themselves

The problem comes from the unfettered spending, you can buy a house for 120,000 if you make 80k a year, no big deal, but when you also grab two 25k cars, rack up another 20k in credit card debt, all of a sudden you're in deep shit and you don't know how it happened

The best thing to do is adopt a save every fucking penny you can for a rainy day mindset and only have a 15 year mortgage that only represents about 20% of your total after tax yearly income, 25% of you're exceedingly wealthy and no other debt.

WTF IS YOUR POINT, every nation has debt, our debt isnt that much when compared to the money we pull in, if anything the reason we have such a high debt is mismanagement of money by the government, the point I was making is that you dont just not contribute to a country in need because we are in debt, thats retarded, what the world needs now is unification, we need to make sacrifices to help our fellow man, thats what can help the shit were in now, because when you think about it, national debt is the least of worries, we have potential nuclear war, depletion of oil, and depletion of thje worlds resources to worry about, and thoes problems will never be solved until we unify and work together.

Actually, yes it is, again, at the rate we're going in another decade it'll take several generations to pull ourselves out of debt without massively printing our dollar, leading to devaluation and inflation, driving cost of living higher and higher and putting a strain on our entire system, destroying confidence in the dollar and leaving our children destitute.

No nation should put themselves in that situation

    The income tax

I could buy a foreclosed home for under 30k that would be three times the size of a half million dollar home in California

More importantly, getting a loan for a house much larger than 150 grand is retarded no matter how much you're making per year and if you can't find one for that price in your area it's time to mooooooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The income tax is so insanely unfair.

You're taxing someone FOR MAKING MONEY. A sales tax is much more intelligent and would pull in a whole lot more money; the more somebody consumes the more in taxes they have to pay.

yeah the Republicans did a pretty crappy job of running the country for 6 years, and Bush's last 2 years weren't great either, so I just didn't vote in '08.

watching the Democrats run the country though is absolutely insane. I don't care if the RNC makes it a requirement to hate muslims this year, I'm voting straight red in November.

Think of how much money god saved the US in atomic bombs and stuff. The US didn't have to bomb it, and can invade it and do whatever the fuck they want with that poor country, now. It's complete control, something that US governments have been trying to obtain for the last 200 years.
Since it's foundation, the US has boycotted and drained it. No way a free slave republic can survive with dignity in America's backyard. Not to mention, fortifying a strategic military base against Cuba. Not to mention the hordes of Evangelical preachers that will go there to convert the heathens and make them more docile, more productive and cheaper labor.

It would appear that people haven't bothered to realize just how devistating the Haitian earthquake was.
It was a 7.0 quake. The great San Francisco earthquake was 8.0.

I can see where people are wondering why we're spending money that our country needs to save to help with the debt, but this is an act of good will. I'm sure that if we got hit by a 7.0 quake in the New Madrid fault line, we would be acting like the world owes us and demand that they give us money.
