I was born in 1989, but I can't seem to relate that well with most people my own age. Most of them seem really, really fucking dim to me. With the advent of technology Generation Y or the Millennial are the last group who can remember not having the internet in day to day life. This puts Gen Y being born from 84'-92' in my opinion. Generation Y experienced Dial up and Windows 95. Gen Y are the apathetic Geniuses who pushed technology forward and is now coming into power. I was born in 1988. I don't feel like a "Millenial." I watched movies on VHS, recorded songs off the radio with cassette tapes, I remember that AOL 2.0 came on a floppy disk, and I could go on and on. But most of all, I also played outside a lot.

We're attached to and of course familiar with a lot of the technology today but we also witnessed the progress of it. And with our age we were at the forefront of knowing how to use it (I would imagine that most of us are more computer literate and technologically capable than our parents at the very least).

Those born later, say the mid 90's aren't necessarily going to have that perspective. I mean hell, DVDs hit the US in 1997.

At the very least we're somewhere in the middle.
